Salford Wetlands

Please spare a few hours to help us make a big difference to the River Irwell in Salford.
The Irwell is blighted by litter that's accumulated over decades. The new wetlands are brilliant - and Kersal Dale on the opposite bank is beautiful - the river isn't.
We will be removing old tyres, traffic cones, plastics, bikes etc from the riverbank plus a general litter pick for anyone who wants a less strenuous morning.
We will be working with the Salford Ranger Team, and Salford Womens Institute (no calendar photos please ladies)
Everyone welcome to join in - individuals, families, community groups
The gates to the wetlands will be open from 9.30am until 11am - please drive through the gates - keep driving straight ahead - and you will see other cars in the distance.

The beautiful Borsdane Brook, that flows down from Aspull to Pennington Flash/River Glaze is in serious need of some TLC where it flows through the town centre of Hindley.....
We are holding a river clean up event on Sunday 2nd December - and it would be great if you could come and help us.

Borsdane Brook - is a beautiful little waterway - and has fab populations of Kingfishers, Dippers, Wagtails, Brown Trout and lots of mini fish species (though you would never believe this if you saw the brook in Hindley town centre).
As always - meet up/sign in at our blue gazebo - where hot drinks, biscuits and a friendly smile await all volunteers.
Looking forwards to seeing old faces and new.
The MRT Team :)
